AIR BERSAMA is a YPCII program that aims to improve communities’ access to safe and adequate drinking water, improved sanitation, and healthy hygiene practices in rural areas.

The program is implemented in Bungbulang Subdistrict, Garut Regency, West Java, an area in southern Garut that continues to face challenges in accessing safe drinking water and adequate sanitation services.

AIR BERSAMA recognizes that access to water and sanitation is not only a matter of infrastructure. It is closely linked to health, behavior, community capacity, environmental management, and the sustainability of local service systems.

Through a community-based approach, YPCII supports communities to become active agents of change—from understanding local challenges and identifying solutions to strengthening capacity, adopting healthier practices, managing local resources, and sustaining water and sanitation services.
