The “Sampahku Tanggung Jawabku” (SAMTAKU) program in Gresik Regency is a waste management initiative implemented by YPCII in collaboration with various stakeholders. The program focuses on waste reduction at the source, raising public awareness, waste segregation, and promoting more responsible waste management practices.

Key Focus Areas of the SAMTAKU Gresik Program

The main activities include:

Public education and awareness-raising on individual and community responsibility for waste management.
Capacity building for village-level cadres, enabling them to share knowledge and promote proper waste management practices within their communities.
Waste segregation at the source, particularly household waste.
Promotion and implementation of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).
Encouraging communities to view waste not only as waste, but also as materials that can be reused, recycled, or have economic value.
Supporting an integrated waste management system connected with the SAMTAKU Gresik Integrated Waste Processing Facility (TPST).
